Many municipalities and
environmental agencies
are requiring
Perma Pile
be applied
to all newly installed
pilings to keep
protective chemicals from leaching out into the surrounding
waters.
Perma Pile
is a high molecular density polyethylene material which is 60”
wide and .030” thick. It is installed using 1.5” stainless steel
ring-shank nails. Nails should be installed every 3”
along the seams for best results.
In order to
determine the amount needed just measure the diameter of the
pole, multiply it by 3.14, and add 6” for overlap.
